Pensacola, FL – Modern Courtyard Pool Design

This project was created for a newly constructed home in Pensacola, where the goal was to maximize a compact backyard while delivering a clean, modern outdoor space built for everyday living.

The design centers around a geometric pool and spa combination, featuring a raised spa with a spillway that flows seamlessly into the pool. A shallow tanning ledge with in-water loungers adds a resort-style element, while maintaining a simple, functional layout that fits the scale of the property.

A large central shade structure anchors the space, providing relief from the Florida sun and creating a natural gathering point for lounging and entertaining. The surrounding deck was intentionally kept open and uncluttered, allowing for flexibility in how the homeowners use the space over time.

Perimeter landscaping softens the clean lines of the design, adding color, privacy, and a tropical feel without overwhelming the footprint. Every element was carefully planned to balance aesthetics, function, and efficient use of space—proving that even smaller backyards can deliver a high-end outdoor living experience when designed with intention.
