Resort Living, Right at Home

This project was designed to transform a standard backyard into a fully integrated outdoor living experience—one that feels like a private resort, day or night.

At the center is a freeform pool and spa combination, thoughtfully shaped to create natural flow while maximizing usable space. The raised spa spills gently into the pool, adding both movement and sound, while the tanning ledge offers a relaxed, in-water lounge experience.

The elevation change at the rear of the pool allowed us to introduce a curved retaining wall with wide, illuminated steps. This not only solves a functional grade challenge but creates a striking visual focal point that anchors the entire space. Integrated lighting throughout the steps, pool, and landscape brings the design to life after sunset, extending usability well into the evening.

The surrounding hardscape was designed for both comfort and connection—seamlessly linking the pool, fire pit lounge, and covered patio area. Every zone has a purpose, yet everything works together as one cohesive environment.

Lush landscaping and uplighting frame the space, soften the hard edges, and provide privacy without closing it in. The result is a backyard that feels intentional, balanced, and complete.
