Our work speaks for itself.Built for the Grade. Designed for the Experience.
This Foley, AL project was shaped by one key challenge—significant elevation changes in the backyard. Instead of fighting the grade, the design embraces it, turning a constraint into one of the most defining features of the space.
A freeform pool and raised spa anchor the layout, with the elevation allowing for natural transitions, tiered retaining walls, and integrated steps that guide movement through the space. The result is a layered design that feels intentional, dynamic, and visually striking.
The raised wall doubles as both structure and feature, incorporating lighting, water elements, and seating while helping retain the grade. A tanning ledge with in-water loungers creates a relaxed entry point, while the surrounding deck areas provide multiple zones for lounging and entertaining.
Lush landscaping was carefully placed along the elevation changes to soften transitions and enhance the overall feel, creating depth and privacy without closing off the space.
This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can turn a challenging lot into a standout outdoor environment—where elevation isn’t a problem, it’s the opportunity.
